Ama Dablam climbing expedition - Qualifications

Ama Dablam belongs to one of the most technical difficult mountains to climb in the Himalayas. The climb contains very exposed climbing and a lot of traversing on narrow ridges. The summit is at 6856 meters, which means there will be many very steep sections at hight altitude where you need to fight with a backpack weighing 10-15 kg on your back.

You must have earlier experience from at least a 6000 meter mountain and you should have climbed a lot of rocks to feel comfartable at this technical mountain.

You should have experience to climb and repell with a backpack at around 15kg on extreme altitude. Your techniques for crampons and axes must be very good. Your physical and mental health must be very good. You should be prepared for trekking days of 4-6h and some days longer.
