Everest Trek with Gokyo Lakes
This Trek is similiar to our classic Mount Everest Trek, to it's Base camp. The big difference is when we come up to Namche, we'll trek to the beautiful Gokyo and the lakes. You will have magnificant views over the landscape and the Gokyo lakes from Gokyo Ri, but also the giants, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu and Cho Oyu.
We cross the Cho la pass, and trek towards Lobuche and later on Mount Everest Base camp. This trek is unforgatable with scenic views over valleys, mountains, beautiful villages and fantastic locals who must you love.
If you trek to Mount Everest Base camp in the spring, you will have the chance to talk to the climbers preparing for a summit bid on Everest. During the fall it is much more quiet in Base camp, but there is a beauty in that as well. The silence, the cold clear weather and the magestic Everest rising above you almost 9 kilometers up in the sky, it's hard to beat that feeling.
The day after our Base camp trek, you will have another blast, when we trek up on Kala Pathar at 5545 meters. You will have great views here over, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, Ama Dablam and more. We are leaving Gorakshep before the sunrise, so you will have the best chance for a real adventure and pictures when the sun rise above Mount Everest, it's more beatuiful than the loveliest picture. You just have to see it live.
Next day we start our trek back to Namche, but now we trek the classic Everest trail all the way back to Lukla. You will see new villages and more fantastic mountains, Ama Dablam for an example, one of the most stunning mountains over here.
We finish this trip in Kathmandu, with a couple of days relaxing, good food, nice shopping and maybe some more sight-seeing.
